Key accomplishments

I currently serve as the Chief Audit Executive for Stanbic IBTC Bank Ltd, a member of Standard Bank Group, with over 25 years experience spanning Banking Operations, Risk and Control, Credit Risk and Internal Audit with footprint across various African Subsidiaries. My work experience cut across the defunct Standard Trust Bank and United Bank for Africa.

I possesses an in-depth knowledge of the application of the International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF) of The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), COSO Enterprise Risk Management Framework and the COSO Framework on Internal Controls. I possesses the ability to identify and address problems with appropriate sense of urgency, recommend changes and enhancements to existing policies, processes and controls to ensure they are current, adequate, relevant and implemented in accordance with relevant regulatory guidelines.

I have a strong leadership track record, which I demonstrated through the growing of future leaders, the digital transformation of the Internal Control department, leading a Fully Conforms /World Class for Internal Audit Function, and driving of Robotic Automation Assurance, amongst others. I lead the combined assurance forum fostering collaboration among Risk, Compliance, Internal Control and Internal Audit to manage Enterprise Risk.

I served on the board of Zest Payment Limited (formerly Stanbic IBTC Financial Services Limited) between September 2022 and April 2024, where I provided oversight, insights and guidance in ensuring adequate governance, risk management and controls, while ensuring compliance to the regulatory requirements impacting the business.

I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria, MBA (with specialism in Finance) from Edinburgh Business School [EBS] of Heriot Watt University [HWU], UKl, a Post Graduate Certificate in Business Research and a Doctoral degree (DBA) from Herriot Watt University.

I am a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria [FCA] and an Honorary Senior Member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria [HCIB].

I am an Associate Member of WIMBIZ, Premium member of Association of Professional Women Bankers (APWB), and an Advisory Board Member of Women in Governance, Risk, Compliance & Financial Crime Prevention, UK.
