How I help mentees
Career Development and leadership
Key accomplishments
I am an experienced risk management professional and seasoned banker with a proven track record of shaping Nigeria’s financial landscape. Over the past two decades, I have managed diverse risk types at both enterprise and organizational levels including credit, operational, market, liquidity, information security, business continuity, and compliancewhile pioneering global best practices in the Nigerian market.
My career highlights include leading the implementation of ICAAP, ILAAP, Recovery & Resolution Planning, Basel standards, and innovative online risk/performance reporting systems. I played pivotal roles in three landmark Nigerian bank mergers (UBA/STB, Access/Intercontinental, and Access/Diamond) and organized the 2010 IFRS conference that helped drive Nigeria’s adoption of international accounting standards.
For more than 12 years, I served as Program Manager for risk, compliance, and finance at Access Bank Plc, where I combined technical expertise with strategic leadership to strengthen resilience and performance. Beyond corporate achievements, I am deeply committed to knowledge sharing facilitating training for ICAN, CIBN, and FITC to build capacity across the financial sector.
Passionate, self-driven, and results oriented, I thrive at the intersection of risk management, banking innovation, and professional development. My mission is to continue shaping strong, sustainable financial institutions while mentoring the next generation of industry leaders.
