How I help mentees

I intend to support mentees by developing their leadership capacity for long-term success in the banking and financial services sector. I will focus on helping them build strong professional values such as integrity, accountability, sound judgment, and ethical decision-making, which are critical for sustaining trust and credibility in financial institutions. I am passionate about guiding young professionals to transition from technical contributors to strategic thinkers and emerging industry leaders.

Through mentoring, I will support mentees in strengthening competencies such as stakeholder management, communication, resilience, decision-making under pressure, and team collaboration. I will also guide them on navigating workplace dynamics, leading change, and positioning themselves for leadership opportunities within an evolving and highly regulated financial ecosystem. My mentoring approach emphasises self-awareness, structured goal setting, practical leadership application, and continuous professional growth.

Key accomplishments

I am a finance and business professional with experience spanning banking, financial services, governance, consulting, and talent development. My career has involved supporting financial institutions, businesses, and professionals in strengthening operational effectiveness, risk management, and strategic growth. I currently serve as an Independent Non-Executive Director at Proshare, where I contribute to governance oversight, risk discussions, and performance strategy. I also lead as a pioneer President of the CIPM Members’ Cooperative Multipurpose Society, providing financial leadership, accountability oversight, and strategic direction for member funds and cooperative growth. I have a also served on the board a public private partnersip as an independent director, and currently sits on many streategic committees in leadership capacities.

I have an MBA from the prestigious Lagos Business School, Pan Atlantic University, Nigeria and a doctorate from Paris School of Business, Paris, France. I am an author, a scholar practitioner and hold professional credentials in business, banking, and management, and I am actively involved in research, industry speaking, and professional capacity development focused on financial sector sustainability, digital transformation, and enterprise resilience. My work across sectors and advisory roles has strengthened my exposure to talent development, ethical leadership, and financial sector capacity building.
