How I help mentees

The following are my plans:

1. Help develop their skills and position them for success.

2. To help mentees build a professional reputation that is bulletproof for long term success.

3. To demonstrate how to maintain trust and composure when significant capital is on the line.

4. To help mentees move from being a data processor to a market thinker who understands the correlation between global events and local portfolios.

5. To ensure they build the capacity to be able to communicate effectively with all stakeholders and the regulators.

Key accomplishments

In 2005, played a pivotal role in establishing the Aviation desk in Zenith Bank Plc. I was the Assistant Director of Strategy for Allen Avenue Branch in Lagos.

In 2008, I was part of the team that started the innovation and Digital Transformation in Skye Bank Plc. I was the Zonal cordinator of E-Business for Ikeja region helping to drive financial inclusion for Skye Bank. As part of our project we initiated the Kastle Credit process to drive the innovative credit processing on Kastle platform. I was part of the initial project team. I was a member of the recruitment team, working closely with HR for strategic recruitment for the Bank, participated in training and recruitment processes.

In 2014, I was branch manager at FirstBank of Nigeria, providing oversight to over 80 employees of the Bank at different units within the Branch.

In 2016, I was seconded from FirstBank of Nigeria for an interim assignment in FirstBank UK to drive Business Development and specifically to help transfer my expertise and experience to staff of FirstBank UK. During the period I spearheaded initiatives to enhance client engagement and satisfaction between FirstBank of Nigeria, and its subsidiaries with specific focus on FirstBank UK. Within the three years period, I originated over USD1.2billion worth of transactions between the FirstBank UK Business.

Since 2020 till date, I have supported FirstBank UK in both Business Development and Strategy, helping the Bank in a major drive for culture change and organisation transformation. I was part of the team that helped create the new Vision and Mission for the Bank.

I am currently, part of the Future Forward Initiative Governance Committee for First Bank Group, helping to create a transformative journey for the young workforce of the FirstBank Group. I recently attended a Leadership Acceleration Program and was the Governor for my stream. In 2025, I was a mentor at Lagos Business School and am open to supporting young professionals and Bankers to grow, thank you.
