Key accomplishments
I started as an authorized clerk of the Nigeria Stock Exchange and after working as a stockbroker and investment banker for about eight years I pivoted to commercial banking where i started in Treasury and Investment management, assets and liabilities management, credit and marketing, loans workout and remedial management. I resigned voluntarily as Executive Director in 2003 from one of the biggest banks in Nigeria to set up XL Africa Group Limited. As Executive Chairman I provide strategic leadership and high-level business development and relationship management for the Group made up of nine subsidiary companies operating in Nigeria and across West Africa with clients in banking, oil and gas, telecommunications, public sector and manufacturing sectors.
