A Chartered Banker with Distinction in Management of Financial Institutions Subject. Have accumulated twenty-three years’ experience in banking operations, deposit insurance, bank liquidation, and Research & Policy Analysis; this spans across Intercity Bank (now Unity bank), Ecobank, and FCMB before joining the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation, NDIC.
Have worked in the Corporation’s Debt Recovery Policy Review; Involved in designing the Bank Liquidation Accounting and Management application; worked in the committee for the review of NDIC framework for financial and technical assistance; special task-force on banks in liquidation; formulation of specialized winding-up rules for failed insured institutions.
Have represented the Corporation in technical committees and working groups in NDIC, CBN and Community of African Banking Supervisors – a subsidiary of the Association of African Central Banks etc. Mr. Gide has participated in the Financial Stability Institute’s Bank Crisis Simulation Project for Africa.
Attended various management and technical courses across diverse subjects in banking, deposit insurance, economics and finance. These include Advanced Research Methodology; Bank Examination; Bank Supervision; Islamic Banking and Finance; Islamic Liquidity Management; Macroeconomic Diagnostics; Macroeconomic and Technical Analysis; Macro-econometric Modelling and Policy Analysis; Specialized Credit Analysis; Risk-Based Supervision; etc.
