Professional Profile I am a results-driven Financial Inclusion Innovation Manager, Business Coach, Management Consultant, and Agile Business Transformer, with extensive leadership experience as an MD/CEO, Credit Analyst, and Investment Partner. My career is built on a foundation of empowering businesses through financial innovation, driving growth, and leveraging technology to foster inclusion and sustainability. My career began in 2009 with AB Microfinance Bank, a multinational institution headquartered in Berlin, Germany, where I rose from a Trainee Loan Officer to Senior Credit Analyst, mastering the intricacies of credit analysis, SME financing, and lending operations. At Letshego Microfinance Bank, I served as a Branch Manager and key trainer, delivering comprehensive induction and seasonal training programs on lending technology while helping launch innovative products like Education and Health Sector Loans. As Head of the Commercial Department at Nigeria’s first education-focused microfinance institution, Edfin Microfinance Bank, I led efforts to expand market reach and drive customer-centric solutions to low cost private schools in Lagos. I later assumed the role of MD/CEO at Lifegate Microfinance Bank Limited, where I guided the bank’s operations and strategy towards sustainable growth. At Rivy (formerly Payhippo), I hold the role of Head of Credit, where I combined my expertise in business development and credit analysis to enhance client acquisition, streamline credit processes, and ensure effective risk management. My leadership enabled the company to scale its operations and deliver tech-enabled financial solutions that empowered underserved businesses. As the Founder/CEO of Luminex Business School and Consult, I now lead programs that equip entrepreneurs with practical, market-driven skills in business strategy, financial management, and value creation. Academically, I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Benson Idahosa University and a Master’s in Business Administration (Finance) from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology. I am a certified member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers Nigeria (CIBN) in microfinance and have earned a Certificate in Digital Strategy for Business from Columbia Business School (Emeritus). I am further equipped with certifications in Data Analytics, Business Continuity, Leadership, Creativity and Innovation, Disruptive Leadership, Design Thinking, Emotional Intelligence, and Strategic Planning. I have circa 20years of experience in financial services sector which span across fixed income trading, treasury management, investment banking and private equity investing. I have been involved in a broad spectrum of financial and banking responsibilities, including mergers and acquisitions, finance, treasury management, project management, business turnaround and strategic planning. I have a first degree in Civil engineering from the Federal University of Technology Akure in Nigeria and an MBA from Warwick Business School in the UK. I started my banking career at Access Bank Plc, with an outstanding performance at the Access Bank School of Banking Excellence as the overall (all time) best graduating candidate. At Access, I worked in Banking Operations, Customer Services and later moved to Treasury, primarily as a fixed income trader. In 2011, I joined Heirs Holdings, an African proprietary investment company, where I handled fixed income trading and private equity investment. At Heirs, I was involved in a range of private equity investments across Africa in a range of selected sectors including financial services, oil and gas, agriculture, healthcare, real estate and hospitality. He also handled the impact investing portfolio of the Tony Elumelu Foundation through which capital was invested in businesses to enhance financial and social returns. I later joined the United Bank for Africa, as a Manager in charge of fixed income trading with primary focus on bond trading and fixed income related structures. In 2018, I joined VFD Group as the Group Treasurer and COO for two years before joining Abbey Mortgage bank Plc in 2020 as an Executive Director overseeing Treasury and Business Development.
